Welcome to Moorpark

Moorpark is a city in Southern California. It was founded in 1900 by Robert Poindexter, presumably named after the moorpark apricots that grew in the area. The city has experienced a great amount of growth since the late 1970s. The population was 34,421 at the 2010 census, up from 31,415 at the 2000 census.

The origin of the name "Moorpark" is not known, but several sources have been suggested. It is mainly believed that the city of Moorpark is named after the Moorpark Apricot, which used to grow in the area. One other theory of the name is that when the Southern Pacific Railroad was surveying the local land in the 1800s for its railway, someone in the party said that the area, with its sloping hills, looked like the Scottish Moors. Hence the name Moorpark.
The valley where Moorpark is located was originally inhabited by the Chumash.

The City is only 45 miles from downtown Los Angeles and about an hour from Santa Barbara. Fun places like Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and the Getty Museum are within about an hour to an hour and a half driving distance.

Indoor Air Quality

Improve the way you live and breathe in your home. No Matter the season, a QuietCool whole house fan can help eliminate the stuffy built-up air and replace it with fresh outdoor air.

Did you know that flooring, paint, furniture and even building materials are contents of indoor air quality? This also includes biological waste, particles and water vapor, which can be a potential health hazard.

We recommend air out your home about 3-5 times a day to have a healthier living environment. With a QuietCool Whole House Fan system installed in your home, you’re creating a healthy living environment for you and your family.

The benefits of a whole house fan in your home

  • Remove built up hot stuffy air
  • Exhaust bathroom steam and odors
  • Expels germs, smoke and even VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) gases
  • Helps prevent home mold and mildew
  • Lowers the usage of any box fans

There are numerous benefits using a whole house fan but the above listed are very common. Did you know that a whole house fan can also alleviate allergens or help with asthma? Breathing fresh clean air is better than breathing in air that is being recycled into your home.
